Last Post for 2008

HI Everyone.
Well I am finally home and am starting to have a major clean up before the New Year. I am leaving it a bit late only 2 days to go but when I am under pressure I get so much more done.
Am detoxing eevry thing - I have started in my scrap room and so far I have a major mess, two bags of rubbish, one bag to take to work so the girls can use the stuff, a pile of things I had forgotten I had and an even larger pile of things that I don't know what I will do with. I was hoping to paint my scrap room/corner before the new year but they didn't have the right paint colour that Jason and I want so will have to wait until the new year.

I am also doing lots of work in the garden - have planted six new fruit trees - two plum, two mango, one almond and one apricot. I also am prepareing the garden to plant more lawn. I am sick of looking at weeds and the buffalo will over grow the weeds. I don't mind mowing lawn but I don't like mowing weeds - it just never seems to look neat and tidy.

Shelley's puppies were five weeks old yesterday and I am surprised at how much they have grown and how active they have become.
Shelley's puppies - one day old
Shelley's puppies - two weeks old Shelley's puppies - five weeks oldThey are always moving so this was the only clear photo I could get - There are three left - Coco, Oates and Chow Chow. We are keeping Coco and Oates and Chow Chow is going to some friends here in town. The one near her back leg is Coco and the one at the front is Chow Chow - Oates is hiding behind Chow Chow.

Quick Happy Snap from Christmas Day - Left to right - Erin - Sis-in-law, Sarah - Middle Sis, Trudy Youngest Sis, James Big bro, Jason - my partner and Me - Having Drinks and laughs before tea.
Remember all those teddy Bears I was knitting - well My Mum finished sewing them up for me. I Love them all. I have ended up with three of them - the rest have been given to good homes. THANK YOU MUM.
Before Christmas H and I were in town for swimming lessons for the girls and we were down the street shopping when we saw these fresh flowers in one of the shops. Due to having a two hour trip home and it being hot we were unable to purchase any of the flowers but the lovely shop owner said that I could take a photo of them. I love fresh flowers - big bright and bold.
THANKS AGAIN TO MY VERY CLEVER MUM.
She has made me new curtains for our main bedroom - They have brightened the room up - now all I need to do is give it a coat of paint as well - will see how the spare room turns out first.

Last but not least my friend Jul's has tagged me with a question - What are five things you do to help keep you mentally well.
1 - Journalling - I am always writing things down wether it be about my day, things I hear on the news or quotes that I read. I love spending time just sitting and writing what ever comes to mind.
2 - Photography - As Jason says - That camera is part of you. It goes ever where with me.
3 - Reading - I love to read - books, magazines, newspapers, webpages.
4 - Learning New Things - I have a need to learn new things - If I am not studying a course I am looking for new things to try or make.
5 - Walking - I don't do this one enough but I love walking in the early mornings or in the evenings when everything is waking up or going to bed - It is so relaing and helps me clear my mind of everything that has been happening.
I am suppose to tag 5 other people but I am going to do the same as Jul's if you wish to answer the question please do. If you do let me know so I can have a look.
Any way I had better be going more cleaning to do and I can hear the washing machine beeping at me to say that it has finished.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
I hope all of your dreams and wishes come true for the new year.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse....

Not in this house hold!! Presents still to be wrapped, food to prepare, church services to attend, animals to feed, people to visit, lots of fun to be had......

HI Everyone,

The following are pictures and pages that are going in my Silly Season Journal.

Am working on some felt things for my tree. Hopefully I will have time to finish them tomorrow - probably not as I think I am working in the shed tomorrow helping Jason. Will finish them on the weekend.

Don't know when I will post again so you will just have to watch and wait - hopefully it won't be to long between posts.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Seven Days Till Christmas

HI Everyone
No Silly Season Journal entires photos for the last 4 days as I have way to many personal photos in the entries and that is all that is in the entries so I am not putting any of them up.

I have been away with the family I work with and the local school for swimming lessons. We spent the last three days in town where they did swimming lessons, art lessons, first aid lessons and then more swimming back at the motel.

However I am including two photo/drawings that I have included.
I LOVE this shot. I am bragging about this shot as I LOVE it so much and am very HAPPY with the way that it has turned out.

It was taken on Mt Oxley where we went and had tea after the swimming lessons. Lots of breath taking views from the top of the mountian.

This is a copy of the pastel painting that I did with the children while they had art lessons with Jenny Greentree (google her name and you can see her work) where they all created this scenery.

Christmas Craft today with the girls - I am also christmas crafting which I am having lots of fun - glue, paper, glitter, tinsel, foam shapes and pipecleaners all over the floor - lots of happy faces.
Will post my craft fun later today.
Happy Christmas
Emma

Saturday 13th December

Am on time with my Silly Season Journal - Was orgainsed yesterday -

You can't see it in the picture due to the plastic but these are called Wishing Stars. What you do is start with a flat piece of paper then you fold it a certain way and you end up with a flat star which you then squish in the right places and it turns 3D. I have lots of them floating around my scrap corner.
These stickers weregiven to me by H's mum. I like the Christmas Nativity Scene - might buy a real set and start a tradition.

Lots of Christmas music today so I thought I would write down all the songs that I like at the moment.

Wrote a letter to myself today. Has all the things that are going on in my mind at the moment saying what I would like to happen next year in my life and in our life as a couple. Have sealed letter and am not going to open unitl next year at the same time. See what has and hasn't happened.

Well that's it for Saturday - one double page left out due to photos.
Happy Christmas Everyone
Only 11 more days to go...........

Saturday, December 13

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

HI Everyone
Haven't the days flown. It feels like only yesterday that I did my last post. So much has happened in those couple of days.

Tuesday 9th December

Today I went into town with the family I work for and looked after the girls at the pool for most of the morning - I even went for a swim - to hot sitting on the side lines - I got soooo burnt.
Had the eldest girls graduation dinner as well today and it was lots of fun.

Wednesday 10th December
Had the girls presentation day today. I was the run around girl doing all the jobs down the street for H and M (I didn't want to make sandwiches so was quite happy to do the running around)

I got to arrange the schools Christmas Hamper which we raffle. It had lots of goodies in it which families donate. One of those things that you wish you could win.

Not many pages posted for the above two days due to the fact I took lots of photos from the graduation and presentation which I do not wish to post.

Thursday 11th December

Today I went to the local school presentation which was lots of fun - the 7 students who range from year one to year six put on a play which had the whole crowd laughing. (Again only one photo due to not wanting to post other peoples photos.)

Thursday 12th December

Went to town today and did some Christmas shopping - Hence it is starting to feel like Christmas. Lots of Christmas decorations up every where in town and lots of happy faces.
Kept saying to myself all day - It's begining to look a lot like Christmas - I think it is a song but am not sure???

The puppies are starting to drink milk from a dish - well it was their first time today and two of them got the hang of it real quick while the others .... we will have to wait. Two of them were interested in my shoes both getting their heads stuck - very cute.

Well that's it for the last couple of days.

Am in the christmas mood today so am making a few things to decorate the house. Will post pictures when I have finished them.

Happy Christmas Everyone - Only 12 more days to go.....

December 5th - Friday - Last day of school for 2008.
These entries aren't in order as I added more to the entry afterI had taken my first lot of photos. Most of this entry is of things that I have taken off the school room wall that I have collected over the year. I am going back next year to teach but I like to start a fresh...
Snowman is a smaller version of the one that the yougest girl made for her Christmas craft. I thought he was cute so had to make one.

December 6th - Saturday
Photo of J and I testing out our new louge that I bought at the clearing sale for $50. They are in the shed for our entertaining area - I was sick of sitting on plastic chairs.

December 8th - Monday - Very Lazy day today - didn't take any photos, didn't write anything down, only drew the four characters out of Madagascar while I watched it on DVD.

Well I am off to town today for School graduation dinners then presentations. So won't be posting again until Thursday. That is if my computer loves me like it is at the moment.
