Tuesday Madness

GOOD MORNING TUESDAY
Well things have settled down since yesterday and I have time to play on the computer. Day one of the school term is always fun. If the rest of the week continues like yesterday I will be smiling all week. The girls got in and di their school works with no complaining and the only drama we had was the computer kept freezing on us when we anted to do things.

Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday and one from today.

Only good thing about early mornings is I get to see beautiful sunrises. This is what I was greated with on my way to work on Monday.

These roses are along the front of the house where I work. I love rose buds more then the actual rose. Strange I know. This guy nearly got my toe yesterday. He was getting a drink out of the pot plant dish which was right next to my boots. I don't mind these guys but when they latch on they latch on.

The youngest girl called out from the school room door this morning - "Quick Emma I have something to show you." MMMMM...... Could be interesting - she is always picking up things to show me. Walked outside and she opened her hands to show me this butterfly. It flew out of her hands and landed in the school room verandah. After asking me with battering eyelids I agree that it could stay - on the verandah as the school pet for the day.

In answer to your question Susi - I have an uncle in law who is German and my partner and I are off to Germany next year so I am learning to write and speak German. Other parts in my journal entires are written in German. It is something that is happening in my life at the moment so I have included it. I have also written everything in English as well as there is a fair chance that in a couple of years time I will not remember what I have written.
Had better be going - Girls now need help with school work - Love that they are independant.
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday.

Week in my life pages finsihed

Well I have finally finished my pages from the "week in my life" project that I saw on Ali Edwards web page.
It is nothing like the samples that she has been showing. Everyone else seems to have made everything the same and repeated the process where I used what ever I had on hand and items to represent the mood that I was feeling when completeing the pages. I have used - see through sheets, envelopes, lined paper both riped from other books and fresh out of the packet, cardboard, scraps of paper, sudoka puzzles I completed during the week, Doanld Duck comics which were in my sudoka book and anything else I could find or picked up during the week. This is how I normally work so what better way to represent me at this timein my life.
I have included these pages in with my normal scrap journal that I do on a daily basis (which I take with me every where). But for this week's project I added a lot more detail.
Not all pages have been shown as many are similar or you have already seen the writing and pictures from previous posts. I have also included hidden envelopes daily which include my personal thoughts from each day.

I had lots of fun doing this project.
Coming up next week - my weekly challenges which will be posted on Wednesday's
Also the following week I start my painting course which I have enrolled in through the TAFE via the school network. Will be posting my art works from that as well.
And in November I will be taking part in the Creative Every Day Month. Again I will post my works of art.
Had better be going - lots of jobs to doon the last day of my holidays.
Enjoy the rest of Sunday

Wednesday and Thursday photos

Well the week in my life exercise is over. It feels strange as it feels like only yesterday that I started taking photos for this exercise.

Here are Wednesday (due to technology they are two days late) and Thursday's photos. Hopefully today I will beable to complete the exercise and put the all into my scrap journal.
THURSDAY

Mowed the lawn this morning. Had to mow it first thing as I need "J" to start it for me the first time as it is a bit tempormental until it has done some work. The lawn looks so fresh once it has been cut and watered.

I couldn't believe it - I ran out of fuel with only this little patch to go. I didn't know if the fuel containter was mixed or not so I had to leave it until "J" got home. He then informed me that the fuel was mixed (could have told me that before you went to work). I had the lawns mowed by 7.30 (8.30 daylight savings time - we don't swap over) I couldn't believe it.

Went across to "J's" uncle's to get some tomatoe plants as he had to many. He had aleady dug them up and "J's" aunt had taken them up to "J's" mum place. I went up there, to get them and realised that I should have turned up later. J's mum was making tree guards for the trees she has been planting at the cemerty and I was roped in to helping her. I ended up making 11 of them and I couldn't feel my fingers afterwards. Old chicken wire is not easy to bend.
I wasn't quick enough with the camera, "Dog" had me in fits of laughter. J's mum had been saving the milk boxes to put around the trees as well. Dog who put's his nose into everything, put his nose into the milk box and got stuck. He ran around the yard with the box on his head running into things. It finally feel off and then Dog was into it. He chewed it to pieces.

After helping S (J's Mum) for nearly 2 hours I came home to print some of the photos I had been taking. I realised that I only had one piece of photo paper left. Seeing as I can't nick down to the shops and buy some more I had to be creative. This group of photos are being printed on - envelopes, yellow paper that comes in the photo paper packs, lined card and brown paper from paper bags. I had thought about waiting until I got some more photo paper - but by doing it this way shows that I need to adapt my scraping ways to get things completed.

I finally got my scrap corner cleaned up. At the moment it looks mess again but I can actually see everything, and everything that I can see has a home I just have to put them there.

No coffee this morning just a mixed berry thick shake instead - YUMMY

Started to decorate my large E. Got the first coat of paint on then had a mental blank as to how I was going to finsh decorating it. Hopefully an idea will come to me today while I am working in my scrap corner. It feels so good to be able to sit down and work at my desk again. I haven't done this for over four weeks. New additions to my scrap corner. Mum gave me these glass jars ages ago and they have been going around and around my room not really belonging any where. When I saw that my ribbon draw was over flowing I had the idea to fill the jars. They now have a place in my scrap corner.
I love fairies. I love watching Peter Pan with Tinkerbell and the other fairies. Don't point your finger as a fairy may fall through it. These girls watch over me while I work.

WEDNESDAY PHOTOS

New life. I found this guy while I was watering the vegie patch. I only planted the seeds a week ago and already I have six squash plants showing. Won't be long and I will be eating home grown vegies. YUMMY

The chooks are funny. When I walk past their gate they run like made up to it hopeing that I will let them out, When I do let them out they then run crazy all over the lawn for about 2 minutes before stopping and haveing a scratch at things. Strange birds.
Some darling pea that is growing up at the neighbours block where I watered the trees. I love these flowers.
Loads of washing - does it ever stop??????
Went for a drive with "J" out to see a bloke. On the way back we hit a kangaroo. Not a small one but a large red one. Some damage done to the bull bar and drivers headlight. "J" was not happy.

Some of the yummy fruit that is growing in the garden at the moment. Nothing beats home grown fruit and vegie.

Well that's it for the week in my life exercise. Hopefully I will post the completed week in my scrap journal before to long. Enjoy the rest of your Friday.

Monday and Tuesday Photos

TUESDAY

Went to work today with "J" back out in the back blocks. Along way from any where. I was so tired when I got home but I was also relaxed and happy that I went with "J" for the day. I am going back to work with him on Thursday and Friday. Am having today of to do things around the house "J" is out of work clothes - oops.. and to go to the flying doctors.

I love red sand. Where we were today was a large sand hill. Well it wasn't really that large but it was a pain in the neck to drive across with a tralier full of fencing gear. I took this photo of the paper daisys that were growing everywhere on the sand hill while waiting for the men to agree on where the strainer posts would go - bit hard when fence goes through the sand hill gulies and you can't see the other side.
These next two of pictures are the view I had for most of the day. I got the job of driving the ute while "J" and "G" (J's boss) drove posts in, laid out more posts, rolled out barded wire and sighted in the strainer posts.
BBQ for lunch - very yummy - wish flies weren't so friendly....
I scored a really good day to go to work with Jason there was cloud cover for most of the afternoon and a cool breeze blew for most of the day. Cool breeze as in I wore my jumper until lunch time without becoming hot.

Due to cloud cover the sunset was amazing. Lots of colours always changing.

The rest of MONDAY
Went to work with "J" after finishing out at my work. He is working along the same stretch of road - sort of.......
"J" gave me instructions on how to find him - I tuned out and said to many turns and twists so I would go straight home. When passing the turn off where he was working saw the fresh tractor tracks and remembered that he said he was taking the tractor across. Brain wave - follow tractor tracks.... Followed them alright on a wild goose chase - if I had known they were in the furtherest part of the paddock and it was a very bush track I might not have followed...
Through Water.... knew tracks had gone in so must be hard - got half way through and couldn't see tracks come out the other side - PANIC

I did eventually find them - half hour later - and am glad I did as it was so nice to be out in nature working again. Finished up the day with "J". When we got home I was tired but happy.
Part of the fence line "J" is working on..

This is part of an old wooden fence that I saw going into a tank. I think old fences are really interesting much more interesting then the new fences that are put up.

Large salt lake that we drove around. It goes white when it has water in it due to how salty it is.

Took this photo on the way home - this section of road was the same section where I had lots of fun....in the black soil. On the way home "J" sat on nearly 100km/hour. Sun dries things out very quickly out here.

Well That's it for Monday and Tuesday. Time now to start the day of Wednesday.....

HAPPY WEDNESDAY
