All in one day

What a Friday!!!
We had all tpyes of weather in the one day.
First:- hot and sticky (very humid)
Second:- strong winds that we just annoying - didn't do any major damage that I know of but was hard to walk and drive in.
Thrid:- Dust, Red dust.
Fourth:- Cold weather and cool breezes
Fifth:- Heavy rain drops - very quick showers
Sixth:- Hail - very small stones, very quick shower
Seventh:- Clear Blue skies
Eighth:- Storm clouds with lightning show

Here are some photos that I took of the dust strom.

The Dust storm front moving in.

Very Close Dust Storm Front - very strong winds

Driving in the storm - was very surprised at how still it was compared to before the storm hit.

Look at how red the dust is - no photo enhancing needed that is the colour of the dust.

Shelley's Puppies
They are nearly a week old and look at how much they have grown. When I last wrote I said that Shelley had six well she had another one on Monday while I was at work - so in total she had 4 girls and 3 boys.
They are still soo cute.
Seven hungry little puppies.

I love how their eyes are all squished up and closed, and their little pink noses.
This one is my favourite one so far - I just like the colours. Plus it is the runt of the litter.

A Rainbow to finish off the day - after the hail strom (not really a hail storm) went over we were greeted with this sight.

Well that's it for the moment

Hopefully I will have more time later to post my AEDM items - Dust storm photos are Friday's items.

I can't believe that is only 27 days till Christams - where has the year gone??

Happy creating everyone

Shelley had her Puppies

Shelley had her puppies on Sunday night. Six in total and they are so cute.

They are also big puppies which makes me feel sorry for her.

Couple of AEDM items
This is a water colour picture which I drew yesterday. Monday 24th
Before water

After water.
I like the vibrant colours that the water colour pencils bring out once they are added to water. Not really clear in this picture. Haven't worked with them before but will be working with them again.

Relaxing Weekend

Couple of quick photos from the weekend.
Look at how fat my dog is. I was hoping she would have her puppies this weekend but no such luck (unless she has them tonight) Wasn't wanting her to have puppies but now she is I am kind of excited about it.
She can still jump up for a cuddle with some troubles...
Putting our feet up and relaxing, we don't do this very often so when we do we enjoy ourselves.

No problems about haveing my two serves of fruit today - 700ml of mango and passionfruit - YUMMY

Experimented with some old printer ink cartridges today - made prints then left on plastic cover sheets - don't know what I will do with these.. Any ideas?

I won't have access to the computer again so willhave to wait until Friday before I post my AEDM items - only one week left :-(

Till Friday Happy creating

WHAT A WEEK!!!!

Hi Everyone,
Well it's Saturday afternoon, and I am finally sitting down to post all of my art and photos from the week. I was hopeing to do it this morning but I didn't get out of bed until 12.30.
It is a really fool day here today - very strong winds which is bringing dust with it so it isn't much fun begining out side - hence the fact I stayed in bed and watched a couple of DVD's and slept some more.
This is the new addition to the house -it's name is Mouse - and it is a carpet snake. A friend of ours had it in their sheep dip pit and "J" decided he wanted one so when it grows up it will be able to eat the mice that are about - hence the name Mouse.
It is the size of my pinky finger and wouldn't be any longer than a 30cm ruler so it is only a baby one. When it gets bigger it will live in the shed.

Have been busy this last week with AEDM items creating two items each day some times more.
So scroll down and have a look...

Monday 17th - AEDM items
Painted this chair while the girls were swimming - painted it with water paints - then due to the storms and the humidty it didn't dry unitl Thursday.....
Found this saying in a scrap booking magazine - Be like a postage stamp... Stick to one thing until you get there - have decided I should try and do that as I have everything going at once and then can't seem to get anything completed.
Tuesday 18th - AEDM items
Today due to the rain and the humidty I didn't do any paintings so I took photos of the flowers with rain drops on them instead. I love the way the drops stay on the flowers. Am going to try and recreate these photos in either a drawing or painting next week.

Wednesdaay 19th - AEDM items

Did these paintings while the girls were swimming.
The purple ones I finger painted. Haven't finished it yet but thought I would show a work in progress picture - am hopeing to make it 3D by adding craft items to it.

This yellow one is an abstract of a flower that I picked out of the garden where I was staying this week.
Also completed my inchy's this week - the theme was from last week - MUSIC - I couldn't make up my mind what I should do so I created three inchies so I could include the piano keys along the bottom.

You can't see it very clearly but I created this picture on the tin out of a large milo tin. I drew the picture free hand on one side thenturned it over so the picture you see is of the raised side. I created this due to all the frogs that were talking to each other when I was trying to sleep. So this was created around 10pm.
Finished three more knitted teddy bears this week - these ones are for the girls I look after - Bluey, Polar and Pinky. Thanks Mum for sewing them up for me :-)
One of the girls I look after got a bit of a fright when she saw this lizard in the bush next to her. It was so patient while i went and got my camera.

Thursday 20th - AEDM items

Saw this circle art work on the AEDM website and looked into it some more - they are called Mandalas which is where you draw a circle they fill it in however you are feeling at the time. Well I started mine of with the base colours then I saw a perfect circle spider web so included that over the top of my colours. It is something that I will be trying again.
Some flowers and butterflies made from the wire of the champaign bottles that we had this week. "H" and her mum think it's funny - I am always doing something with my hands. Never throwing any scraps out.....

Friday 21st - AEDM items
Another mandala - I created this one on a laminating sheet - I drew on the inside then laminated it. - It is now hanging on my window and the sun catches it and shows a little colour as it shines through.
Had a little free time on Friday so decided just to draw - have had these stickers stuck in my book for a while now and decided they needed a background.

Well that's it for today hopefully will post my AEDM item for day and tomorrow on Sunday.
Till then HAppy

Busy Weekend

HI Everyone
Well I had a busier weekend then I thought I would so didn't get time to create or do anything for AEDM. :-(
But I did get to take these to beautiful photos - one of the sun setting as we came back from a friends property

And this rainbow while we were having drinks with our friends. It didn't rain but we had this beautiful rainbow instead.

Some odds and ends -
These butterflies were the start to my butterfly collage (which I still haven't finished - it is sitting on my desk looking at me while I type this)
Butterflies are made out of little river mussle shells and the bodies are nature bits that I picked up while looking at the shells.

This art work - "Building of a Stormy Night" is an experiment that my painting teacher asked us to do. I have created this painting with paint that has been mixed with sand.
I love the 3D affect that the sand gives the paint (hopefully you can see it in the pictures) it was different painting with sand. But something I will be trying again.

Well that's it for now - don't know if I will be able to post during the week as won't have my normal computer (staying at "H" mum's place) so my AEDM might have to wait until the weekend.
Time will tell.
Have a great week of creating
Hope it rains - weather report says it is going to.........
Time will tell

It's the weekend

HI everyone,
No AEDM posts from yesterday or today as I haven't finished what I am working on - will post them once I have.

Very steamy here today - hopefully it might rain but that is only wishful thinking..
These modelling clay animals are some I made early in the month - they are going to live in the school room along with the elephant and giraffe (see past posts)
We have - an orange echinda, a red mouse, a green goat, a red mouse head, a black leopard, a yellow swn, a blue pig, a purple pegiun and a white polar bear.

This shot is one of the beautiful shoots I took while out driving last weekend with "J". I think it looks like a comet entering our atmosphere but really it is just the sun and the split in the clouds.

Hopefully I will beable to finish my art work sometime this weekend and will post when I can.

Happy Weekend

ADEM Wed 12th and Thu 13th

What a busy week - it's Thursday already and I feel like it should only be Tuesday.

Have been busy with paints today and yesterday - still working on my shadow one - just doesn't seem to be working for me..... Will see what happens

AEDM - Wednesday 12th
This one I call "In the Garden" - very abstract compared to what I like - I was just playing with the paints mixing to see what different combinations I could make with my paints and didn't want to waste the paint...

I also knitted this teddy for my Little Sister - I need a name for her.... Have so many but need to choose one... May Be My Little Sister will have to choose

AEDM - Thursday 13th

This painting called Cheeky (he is our school room mascot) was one I did for my painting course today.

Doesn't really show up in the fianlly painting (does in this half completed one) but the way I have applied the paint makes it look more like his hair.
Can't really see it in this picture but I have scratched Cheeky's outline into the paint - my desk isn't pink but it was shiny so I used the pink metalic cardboard as my background to give it a bit of a shine.

I really surprised myself with this painting and am very happy with the way it turned out.

It took nearly an hour to make the brown colour for his hair - wish I had a tube of brown paint not just red, yellow, blue, white and black but it does show you can make any colours from the primary colours.
Well that's it for today
Time for swimming.......
Till next time

Baby Birds

AEDM - Photo art from yesterday

Came back for the horses yesterday to see one of the chickens being attacked by a willy wag tail. "H" said they must have a nest near by - She was right - this is what the eldest girl found in the tree. We all wanted to have a closer look so "H" backed the ute up closer to the tree and this was what we saw in the nest. They are so ugly but so cute - they don't have their eyes open yet.
After we moved away the mother willy wag tail came back - took this photo of her - boy does she look cranky with us...... I think it is only her marking on her face that make her look like this.

Still working on my art work from yesterday.... Will post tonight if dry.

My Busy Life

My life seems to be very busy at the moment. Probably due to the fact that it is only 4 weeks until the school year has finished and I have to make sure all work is completed by then....... Or maybe becasue I have TAFE assessments to get done that I just keep putting off as I just don't like them.....Or maybe because it is nearly the end of another year which means I need to start thinking about christmas and all things to do with it......Or maybe it is all in my mind.....Which ever it is I wish it would slow down so I can enjoy myself..

Was asked about my inchy by inch square of knitting - it didn't take very long at all to do - being so small - small needles and a love of knitting is why I created it. Would not recomend it to anyone starting out knitting....... :-)

I like my knitted inchy and have thought about it some more and have decided I am going to make a knitted square - 12 inches by 12 inches using different types of fibre that I have on hand... Each square being an inch by inch... Won't be any time soon as have everything else more important to do at the moment but will slowly work on it.

No AEDM items today as it is a working progress - am painting a grey scale shadow picture - not quite finished it.

HAPPY CREATING

REMEMBRANCE DAY

Please pause for a minute at 11 o clock to remember those who fought for us in World War I.

The girls and I made poppies to wear to pay our respects.
